WINGSTOP IS COMING TO HUNTING PARK PLAZA — On Wednesday, March 18th, the sign was placed on the upcoming location of Wingstop between T-Mobile and Little Caesar’s Pizza at G Street and Hunting Park Avenue.

Wingstop will join other stores in the Plaza including Wendy’s, Dunkin’ Donuts, Rainbow, Marshalls, Rent-A-Center, and Dollar Tree.

Dollar Tree recently moved into the former Aldi location from its smaller store in the shopping center. A laundromat is slated to open in the former Dollar Tree location next to Rainbow. The Burlington store, the largest retail space in the plaza, is currently vacant after its move to Aramingo Avenue in Port Richmond last month.

Wingstop began in 1994 as a buffalo wing restaurant in Garland, Texas. It started franchising in 1997, and now has over 1,250 restaurants located in numerous countries. Wingstop’s website states “Wingstop is the destination when you crave fresh never faked wings, hand-cut seasoned fries and any of our famous sides.”

We will update this story when the opening date is announced.
