On March 1, 2021 at approximately 8:41 PM, 24th District Officers responded to the 30xx block of Kensington Avenue for a shooting victim. When the Officers arrived on location, they observed the victim, a 31 year-old male, on the ground bleeding from both legs. The Officers immediately transported the victim to Temple Hospital where he was treated and listed in critical condition. The complainant suffered five gunshot wounds to the left leg and two gunshot wounds to the right leg.
Another shooting victim, who is a suspect in the shooting, arrived at Temple Hospital with a gunshot wound to the hand. Surveillance video recovered from the area depicts this suspect along with two other suspects exit a blue Dodge Journey, approach the victim.
Suspect #1 (arrested) begins assaulting the victim punching and kicking him. Suspect #2 who is seen wearing a neon hoody pulls a firearm and discharges the firearm at the victim striking him several times in his legs. All three suspects return to the Blue Dodge Journey which then flees the area travelling north on Kensington Avenue.
Suspect #1: Arrested and charged with conspiracy charges in the shooting of the victim.
Suspect #2: Black male, wearing a yellow or green hooded sweatshirt and black mask.
Suspect #3: Unknown black male, no further information.
